About The Position

The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Network Applications Team (NAT) Software Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO). The PO will be responsible for the prioritization and validation of the network application development and updates/patches for the Network Application Team (NAT). The position will include reviewing/understanding Systems Engineering concepts/designs/algorithms and providing guidance to the development team. The PO will support the team in the development of acceptance criteria for network tasks and stories and be responsible for their verification. The product owner will also be responsible for working with the Cyber team to ensure a hardened cyber posture for the system network. The product owner will work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint. The position will include technical briefings, demonstrations and advisement to leadership. The product owner will report on status; recommended courses of actions, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.

Requirements

  • Good understanding of networking to include IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, networking device configuration, and network status monitoring.
  • Ability to work directly with the Agile software developers to meet deadlines and program objectives.
  • Fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics.
  • Minimum of 10 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Broad understanding of SNMPv3.
  • Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS.
  • Ability to "move out" and champion your ideas, architectures, designs, enthusiasm; independent critical thinking; and a team attitude.
  • Experience in JIRA/Confluence.
  • Security + certification.
  • Linux experience.
  • Agilist certification.

Responsibilities
