About The Position

The Network Analyst/System Administrator manages, monitors, configures, and maintains computer systems across a variety of networks, including high-volume and high-availability systems. The role requires quickly responding to and resolving problems, implementing agency computer-access policies, and implementing firewalls. It is based at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and requires a TS/SCI clearance with a CI polygraph.

Requirements

Five years of relevant network, systems administration, and customer support experience.
Maintain an active DoD Top Secret with SCI clearance and be willing and eligible to undergo and pass a Counterintelligence Polygraph.
Hold a valid IAT-II certification, such as A+, Network+, SSCP, or CCNA Security, with continuing education.
Comprehensive knowledge of network troubleshooting and support principles, methods, and techniques.
Comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications.
Comprehensive experience administering Active Directory environments.
PowerShell scripting experience.
Customer interfacing and support experience.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Perform administration duties for networking hardware, including routers, switches, hubs, gateways, access points, network interface cards, networking cables, network bridges, modems, ISDN adapters, firewalls, and other related hardware.
Handle day-to-day user account and access issues related to GET TDN2 AD and GET WAN.
Monitor and respond to hardware and software problems using a variety of testing tools and techniques.
Install and configure network hardware and software.
Provide network troubleshooting and support.
Provide technical support and training to end users.
Administer network security.
Set up new network users and remove old users.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with network infrastructure and components.
Work shifts that include weekends.
