About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Network Analyst / PC Technician to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the TSA’s IT Management, Performance Analysis, and Collaborative Technologies (IMPACT II) Contract and play a pivotal role to provide end-to-end support to include asset management, imaging, and shipment of devices to CONUS and OCONUS field sites. The position requires on-site work at our Springfield, VA location. Working hours are 7:00am-3:30pm. Day to Day Work Responsibilities: Perform on-site inventory, packing, shipping, and asset management activities and may require on-site installation, configuration, labeling and testing activities. Review request for equipment including (laptops, desktops, VOIP equipment, Peripherals & UPS, Shipping label(s), switches, servers, as well as other IT equipment), ensuring/validating completeness and accuracy. Identify, obtain and request equipment for request fulfillment Test and evaluate equipment to ensure it is operational: Connect equipment to power and local network if applicable Perform equipment power-up check if applicable Perform equipment boot check if applicable Run any applicable onboard hardware diagnostic tools to validate operational state if applicable Connect equipment to image server if applicable Image PCs, servers, and other applicable devices to include: Install current image for the specific machine Customize device to include TSA’s Computer Naming Convention Download applicable updates Install authorized 3rd-party Government-furnished software for the asset type and requesting location Prepare and package equipment; create shipping label(s) and ship equipment. Update and maintain recorded in the request(s) in the iShare site, add the shipping tracking number, expected delivery date and capture documented receipt confirmation. #TSAIMPACT

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and 0 years of experience or a HS diploma/equivalent and 4 years of experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; Must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
  • PC Tech or Help Desk knowledge.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Excel and SharePoint.
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
