About The Position

Peraton requires a Network Administrator to support the Special Operations Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. This position is located at Hurlburt Field, FL. The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end-user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

Requirements

Min 6 years with HS Diploma; 4 years with AS/AA; or 2 years with BS/BA.
Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
DoD 8570 IAT II Certification.
CCNA Certification.

Responsibilities

Monitors the LAN and WAN equipment and circuits utilizing Riverbed Event Manager.
Performs initial triage and resolves or escalates technical problems for established networks.
Serves as the technical specialist in network problems and emergencies; assists in troubleshooting and resolution of network production problems.
Maintains network operations, expansion, and potential abuse through enterprise network intrusion detection system, firewalls, and VPN devices.
Works with the Systems Engineer in network design analysis and configuration validation.
Maintains documentation, which may include CMDB information, as-built drawings, circuit inventory, equipment inventory, configurations, and training materials.
Performs project work as assigned by the Senior Team members.
Accurately documents instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
Administers the operation of all LAN/WAN-related network services according to Government policies and procedures.
Coordinates and implements network software and hardware upgrades.
Troubleshoots and resolves LAN/WAN performance, connectivity, and related network problems.
Administers LAN/WAN security, antivirus, and spam control measures.
Uses a variety of tools to monitor and troubleshoot the network.
Creates monitoring reports and logs and ensures the functionality of links.
Documents and maintains network topologies.
Resolves ticket requests, works to resolve incidents, and escalates to the Engineering team when required.
Represents USSOCOM and interfaces with software and hardware vendors for support issues.
