About The Position

i3 is seeking a Mid-Level Network Administrator to join a team that strives for excellence. The successful candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of network architecture, design, implementation, and support. This role requires the ability to work effectively in both team environments on enterprise projects and independently to resolve technical issues. Knowledge of Tactical networks and communication systems is considered beneficial.

Requirements

Minimum of five (5) years related experience.
Must have Security+, comparable certificate, or ability to achieve 8140 compliance within 60 days of hiring.
Cisco IOS installation, maintenance and STIG management as required for switching, routing and firewall environments at advance configuration and troubleshooting skill levels.
Able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
Active Secret clearance required.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Knowledge of office administration and procedures.
Exceptional judgment capabilities and relationship management skills.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills; ability to clearly communicate in discussions and written documents, and to deliver feedback clearly and tactfully.

Nice To Haves

BS degree in related discipline preferred.
Knowledge of Tactical networks and communication systems is beneficial.
CCNA or greater desired.
Experience with Evaluate-STIG and ACAS scanning strongly desired.
Cisco DNA Center experience desirable.

Responsibilities

Secure, maintain, and deploy Windows images to support a small distributed DoD Closed Restricted Network.
Secure, maintain, and deploy Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) images in support of Assured Compliance and Assessment Solution (ACAS) scanning.
Provide customer access control support and troubleshooting.
Install, configure and maintain LAN and WAN system hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.) using primarily Cisco hardware.
Design, maintain, and document network solutions.
Secure networks by developing network access controls and policies that align with DISA STIGs.
Ensure system security in compliance with Army and customer policies.
Understand network security devices and their output.
Ensure reliable backup and recovery from circuit and hardware outages.
Provides network performance statistics, reports and recommendations for network enhancements.
Apply firmware and software patches as required to hardware.
Perform other hardware and software tasks as assigned.
