About The Position

The Network Administrator plays a central role in maintaining the district’s core technology infrastructure, ensuring that all schools remain securely connected and operational. This position oversees the configuration and protection of network systems, from managing firewalls and switches to safeguarding data flowing across internal and external pathways. It supports the district’s server environment and identity management platforms, ensuring reliable access to essential systems and communication tools. The role also guides the district’s phone and communication technologies, including the transition to modern cloud‑based calling solutions, while maintaining a large inventory of networked devices. In addition, the Network Administrator monitors and maintains enterprise security tools such as the district’s extensive cloud‑based camera system to provide continuous visibility and protection across all facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manages firewalls and network switches; secures the district's internal and external traffic.
• Administers critical server infrastructure and identity management systems, including directory services and email accounts.
• Manages the transition from Cisco Call Manager to a secure WebEx environment and supports the district's 600+ network phones.
• Oversees the deployment and continuous monitoring of enterprise security systems, including 325+ cloud-based security cameras.
