About The Position

Directly oversees the performance of the various network components that best meet the needs of our business partners. Performs the day-to-day networking tasks to ensure network reliability, availability and serviceability with minimal interruption. Participates in network technology upgrade or expansion projects, including installation of hardware, software and integration testing, as well as coordinating these activities without negatively impacting stability. Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS) Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including patches, hot fixes, and security configurations Monitor availability, reliability, performance, utilization, trending and capacity planning. Firewall, Routing, & VoIP rule changes/creation based on issues reported/new services requested Provide Level-2 support & liaise with other IT teams on problem resolution Create infrastructure documentation/SOPs as needed Participate in a rotating On-Call schedule Partners with others to ensure Zumiez creates an empowered, fair & honest, teaching & learning-based, competitive, and fun work environment that recognizes the contibutions of our employees including: Anchors all interactions and practices around Zumiez’ Cultural Values. Nice To Haves

  • CCNA, JNCIA Or Equivalent Certification
  • Associates in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent field experience
  • Experience with VoIP (H.323 & SIP), Wireless, Network Security, and Retail brick and mortar environments.
  • Experience in network monitoring, analysis, and configuration of network management tools
  • 3 - 5 years of IT Help Desk experience
  • 2 - 4 years of experience with at least (3) of the following: Cisco, Citrix, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and SolarWinds
