About The Position

Genpact is seeking a Network Administrator to provide L2/L3 operational support for enterprise network environments. This role ensures high availability and performance of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center networks. The administrator will monitor network infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and manage incident, problem, and change management processes. They will also participate in on-call rotations and lead the resolution of high-severity incidents. The role involves administering Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Cisco routers and switches (Nexus, ISR, ASR), and Cisco Meraki environments. Additionally, the administrator will contribute to network design, architecture reviews, and technology refresh initiatives, supporting network segmentation and Zero Trust principles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 operational support for enterprise network environments, ensuring high availability and performance of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center networks.
  • Monitor network infrastructure using enterprise monitoring tools and proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues.
  • Manage incident, problem, and change management processes in accordance with ITIL best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and lead resolution of high-severity (P1/P2) network incidents.
  • Administer and operate Palo Alto Networks firewalls (physical and virtual), including policy configuration, NAT, security zones, and routing.
  • Perform firewall upgrades, rule optimization, and security audits to maintain compliance and reduce risk.
  • Troubleshoot complex firewall and VPN issues, including site-to-site and remote access VPNs.
  • Configure, operate, and support Cisco routers and switches (Nexus, ISR, ASR) in enterprise environments.
  • Manage switching technologies such as VLANs, and QoS.
  • Administer Cisco Meraki environments, including MX security appliances, MS switches, and MR wireless access points via the Meraki Dashboard.
  • Troubleshoot wired and wireless network issues across branch offices and corporate locations.
  • Contribute to network design, architecture reviews, and technology refresh initiatives.
  • Recommend and implement improvements for performance, scalability, resilience, and security.
  • Support network segmentation, Zero Trust principles, and secure access models.
