About The Position

Assured Consulting Solutions is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Network Administrator Level 2 to join their team. As a Tier 2 Network Administrator, you will be challenged with enterprise support problems where you will coordinate with the Network Operations Center and other Operational staff to address break fix, configuration updates, scheduled add moves and changes, and technology upgrades and installs for Network routers and switches. You are expected, as one of the experienced Network team members, to coordinate ticket acceptance and resolutions. You will support the development of technical resolution reports for critical outages in the Network. Under this program, we technically transform current services by leading edge technology insertions. To accomplish this, we are in charge of developing new designs, the implementation, and operation of the new and/or enhanced services. Over the life of the contract, we will drive continual service improvement through tech modernization for our (LANs), wide area networks (WAN), unified communication (UC), Video telecommunication, and Streaming services.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current and active TS/SCI clearance granted by the Department of Defense or an Intelligence Community agency.
  • Must be able to pass a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
  • IAT II and CCNA Certifications
  • Familiarity with both Cisco and Juniper network devices
  • Strong working knowledge of the various routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, 802.1x).
  • In-depth knowledge of KG-175 Series TACLANES configuration process, fault isolation, and firmware upgrade procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco-ISE
  • Ability to work onsite in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) environment, as required
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with government customers, technical teams, and cross-functional partners
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and remain in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Ability to analyze requirements and contribute to technical solutions in a mission-driven environment
  • Ability to follow established processes and contribute to problem-solving efforts
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks and deliver quality work under deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Conduct approved network changes to include but not limited to VLAN, ACL and port assignment.
  • Perform IOS upgrades to routers and switches.
  • Perform routing and switching equipment technology upgrades to ensure continued operations of the enterprise.
  • Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for network operations.
  • Resolve systems failures and accessibility problems within the network to our services.
  • Support site survey and engineering designs data calls.
  • Support new/enhanced network implementation, installation, and technical refresh projects within a site or locale.
  • Works independently with some supervision.
  • In remote locations must function as independent engineering, maintenance, and network problem solving with minimal or intermittent input from other Tiers/locations.
  • Problems faced are difficult, will require detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand problems. You will employ creativity and ingenuity for new technical solutions applicable across the enterprise, drawing heavily on prior experience.
  • Perform Network ticket resolution.
  • Support Network ticket closure across Network Operations staff to include: Use administrative access to the network to provision new switches, routers, and Cryptographic devices.
  • Uses administrative access to network components to research errors, incidents, problems and to perform incident analysis and identify potential problems.
  • Routing Service Requests to the appropriate organization required for incident resolution.
  • Performs root cause analyses.
  • Completes problem resolutions associated with incident ticket(s).
  • Review and implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
