This position is based in Seattle, Washington. Hourly wage $34.85. Provide all aspects of IT support for Scientific Research Vessel USCGC Healy. Work both underway and on shore. Underway deployments are between 2 and 8 weeks. Onshore work includes an on-call rotation. Customer base includes research scientists, technicians, outreach personnel, and military personnel. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills and the ability to provide positive user support at a wide range of skill levels and interests.

Requirements

Associates Degree from an accredited Community or Technical College in Computer Science or related field, or three years System Administrator experience with acceptable driving record pertinent to position.
Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
U.S. Citizenship.
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, or Network Engineering, or four years System Administrator experience
Additional experience or training in one or more leading operating systems, network equipment, and network protocols
User support experience
Following certifications: CCNA, CompTIA Security+, RHCSA/RHCE
