Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Networking, or related field; or 3+ years equivalent experience
Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching)
Familiarity with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco or Ubiquiti
Experience with Windows or Linux environments
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Nice To Haves

CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar entry-level certification
Experience with ticketing systems, network monitoring tools, or SIEM platforms
Understanding of firewalls, VPN technologies, and wireless networks

Responsibilities

Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware such as switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and VoIP systems
Perform basic troubleshooting of network connectivity issues (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi)
Support the setup and maintenance of user network access, VLAN assignments, and IP configurations
Monitor network performance and escalate issues to senior administrators as needed
Help maintain network security by assisting with firewall rule updates, patching, and intrusion detection monitoring
Assist in implementing security best practices and compliance standards
Support antivirus, endpoint protection, and network monitoring tools
Participate in periodic security audits and remediation activities
Monitor network alerts, system logs, and performance dashboards
Update network documentation, diagrams, inventory lists, and procedures
Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and configuration changes
Respond to help desk tickets related to networking, connectivity, and system access
Assist users with VPN access, Wi-Fi connectivity, and general network questions
Support office moves, adds, and changes (e.g., cabling, hardware setup)
Participate in network upgrade projects, hardware refreshes, and new technology rollouts
Work with senior IT staff to test, deploy, and optimize new network solutions
Engage in cross-functional projects involving systems, security, and infrastructure
