About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our organization's network infrastructure in a fully remote environment. The ideal candidate will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of network systems that support core business functions. This role requires a proactive professional with strong troubleshooting abilities and a solid understanding of modern networking technologies.
Requirements
- Must be currently residing in the United States
- Valid U.S. work authorization (citizen, permanent resident, or authorized work permit holder)
- Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs)
- Hands-on experience with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, or similar)
- Familiarity with firewall and security technologies
- Experience with network monitoring tools and diagnostics
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Nice To Haves
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA/CCNP)
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of network automation and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards
Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Ensure network availability, performance, and security across all systems
- Perform network maintenance, upgrades, and patch management
- Monitor network traffic and performance to identify and resolve bottlenecks or vulnerabilities
- Implement and enforce network security protocols and best practices
- Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution
- Manage user access, permissions, and network authentication systems
- Support remote connectivity solutions for distributed teams
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to support business needs
