Description Key Responsibilities Configure, operate, and diagnose issues with Cisco Catalyst Layer 2/Layer 3 switching environments Oversee Cisco Meraki MX security appliances, MS switching platforms, and MR wireless infrastructure Support and maintain LAN/WAN connectivity across customer locations and field sites Set up and manage both site‑to‑site and remote-access VPN solutions Build and enforce firewall configurations, access controls, NAT policies, and segmented network zones Assist with SD‑WAN implementations and ensure resiliency for carrier circuits Troubleshoot fiber links, optics/SFP modules, and structured cabling components Deploy, tune, and enhance Meraki wireless environments, including RF optimization Track and assess network health, performance, and reliability Maintain thorough and current documentation, diagrams, and network inventories Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 escalated network support Partner with ISPs, service vendors, and external contractors Travel Requirement This role involves approximately 10–25% travel to customer locations and project sites. Travel may include network diagnostics, new‑site buildouts, ISP or fiber installations, and infrastructure upgrade work. Some short‑notice travel may be necessary. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent professional background 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise network environments Strong proficiency with Cisco Catalyst and Meraki technologies Practical knowledge of SD‑WAN, VPN implementations, ACLs, VLANs, and routing protocols Experience working with fiber‑based network systems Preferred Qualifications Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification background supporting distributed, multi‑location environments Awareness of cloud or hybrid networking concepts (Azure experience preferred) Work Environment Includes a blend of office work, remote network management, and on‑site technical support. Some after‑hours or weekend activity may be required for maintenance windows or unplanned outages. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Network uptime and stability across all environments Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR) for incidents On‑time execution of planned changes, upgrades, and deployments Reduction of recurring issues or preventable outages Wireless performance, reliability, and signal coverage Adherence to security requirements and internal policies Accuracy and completeness of all network documentation Reporting and Documentation Deliver periodic network health, availability, and performance summaries to leadership Provide incident reporting, including root‑cause analysis and remediation steps Keep network diagrams, configuration records, and asset inventories current Track ISP performance, outages, and SLA compliance Contribute to capacity planning and continuous improvement initiatives Managed Service Provider (MSP) Coordination Partner with the Network MSP for monitoring, incident handling, and escalations Serve as the internal technical liaison for MSP‑related activities Review MSP ticket handling, outcomes, and adherence to SLAs Collaborate with the MSP on architecture updates, enhancement projects, and security initiatives Ensure smooth knowledge transfer, documentation accuracy, and alignment between internal teams and the MSP
