About The Position

Link Solutions is seeking a Network Administrator (Senior-Level) to join our team in Clarksburg, WV. This role provides IT support at the Clarksburg Local Network Enterprise Center (LNEC) in support of the Biometric Operations Department (BOD). The Network Administrator ensures uninterrupted operations across Army Information Technology Portfolio (AITP) systems, including NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and Mission System Environments. The role demands a strong understanding of enterprise network architecture, including Layer 2/3 switching, routing protocols, and network security standards. The administrator will ensure reliable and secure network operations by proactively monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing systems to support mission-critical activities.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a secret DoD clearance.
Must have five (5+) years of relevant experience working in a networking environment.
IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
Experience in designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining core network infrastructure solutions.
Working knowledge of routing protocols (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), multicast), VoIP solutions, and cabling services.

Nice To Haves

MS or BA/BS in computer science or information technology.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred.
Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.
A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Manage network performance and proactively maintain security protocols.
Configure, install, and maintain Layer 2/3 switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, encryption devices, and telecommunication systems.
Troubleshoot complex network issues across a variety of devices and configurations.
Implement and enforce information security procedures in compliance with organizational policies.
Configure routing protocols, including OSPF, BGP, and manage IPv4/IPv6-based networks.
Set up and manage IPSec tunnels, 802.1x, and 802.11 LAN/MAN environments.
Define and enforce network policies, procedures, and performance standards.
Train users in network operations and best practices.
