About The Position

WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE? Our Network Administrator works from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday to keep our network secure, efficient, and operational. You'll oversee our infrastructure across multiple locations and cloud environments, supporting the IT team with systems administration, operational support, and other areas to maintain strong firewalls and secure platforms. Requirements

  • Associate/bachelor's degree in a field like information technology or cybersecurity OR equivalent job experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience in an enterprise or multi-site environment
  • Hands-on experience with Fortinet security platforms (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiNAC)
  • Experience with Azure networking and hybrid cloud connectivity
  • Experience with firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, intrusion prevention, and security policy management
  • Experience with structured cabling, rack layouts, and network hardware installations
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP
  • Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to travel between our locations as needed
  • Fortinet NSE certification or willingness to obtain
  • Strong analytical skills and close attention to detail
  • Troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex network and security issues while under pressure
  • Strong documentation, diagramming, and change management discipline
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members
  • High level of integrity and ability to appropriately handle sensitive, confidential data

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with manufacturing or distributed business environments
  • Exposure to ERP systems (Epicor/Kinetic)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID networking integrations
  • CCNA, Network+, or Security+ certifications
  • Azure certifications (i.e., AZ-700 or AZ-104)

Responsibilities

  • Design, install, configure, and maintain on-premises and cloud-based network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, SD-WAN, and Azure networking components
  • Administer Fortinet security platforms (FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiNAC, and FortiClient)
  • Manage Azure networking services, including Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, Network Security Groups (NSGs), VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, and load balancers
  • Configure site-to-site and remote-access VPNs and integrate on-premises/Azure environments
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and cybersecurity using centralized logging and monitoring tools
  • Implement security controls (intrusion prevention, web filtering, SSL inspection, segmentation, and zero-trust principles)
  • Maintain SOPS, accurate network diagrams, and cloud network architecture diagrams
  • Support VoIP infrastructure and network Quality of Service (QoS) requirements
  • Participate in vulnerability remediation, incident response, penetration testing support, and cybersecurity initiatives
  • Assist with system backups, disaster recovery planning, and continuity efforts
  • Support user access, authentication, and network permissions
  • Collaborate with administrators and help desk staff on escalated network and cybersecurity issues
  • Support network connectivity for ERP systems, cloud-hosted applications, and manufacturing environments
  • Participate in required training, certifications, and continuous improvement
  • Complete additional responsibilities as assigned
