About The Position

We are seeking a talented and mission-focused Tier III Network Administrator who will provide advanced technical support within a 24/7/365 Technical Operations Center (TOC), specializing in complex network, datacenter, cloud, and enterprise application incidents. Reporting directly to the Shift Supervisor (Incident Manager), the Tier 3 Network Administrator is the final escalation point for incidents unresolved by Tier 1 and Tier 2 personnel. The role covers network management, enterprise and cloud operations monitoring, incident response, vendor coordination, and process improvement initiatives, including automation and optimization of monitoring systems. Tier 3 Network Administrators play a critical role in root cause analysis (RCA), tool tuning, and developing best practices to enhance overall service reliability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of IT operations experience in a large enterprise, cloud, or federal environment.
  • Active DHS or USCIS suitability clearance is preferred.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting advanced network issues and performing full-path analysis across WAN/LAN and AWS cloud environments.
  • Service Management experience, with familiarity in ITIL and/or CMMI frameworks.
  • Expertise in enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Riverbed, New Relic, SCOM, Splunk).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and associated monitoring/troubleshooting practices.
  • Experience with database and application monitoring (Oracle, SCCM, New Relic).
  • Skilled in capacity and performance monitoring for enterprise and cloud systems.
  • Strong trouble ticket management skills (ServiceNow preferred).
  • Flexible and adaptable to the dynamic demands of a 24/7 operations environment.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and resolve escalated incidents from Tier 1 and Tier 2 within SLA targets.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting across: Network: Cisco DNAC, SolarWinds, Meraki, VeloCloud SD-WAN, Wireshark, Voice/Video: Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) for Polycom and telecom systems. Datacenter: Dell OpenManage, Microsoft Exchange Server Profile Analyzer, NetBackup, Symantec Command Central, Tivoli. Applications/Databases: Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Golden Gate, Oracle Grid Control, Microsoft SQL, SCCM. End-User Performance: Aternity monitoring. Cloud: AWS infrastructure and services, compute, and storage resources in AWS.
  • Lead root cause analysis for high-severity incidents, documenting findings and corrective actions.
  • Use Splunk for log analysis, event correlation, and proactive detection of anomalies across on-premises and AWS environments.
  • Assist in engineering projects, upgrades, and integrations of enterprise monitoring and management tools.
  • Implement AIOps and automation initiatives to improve incident detection, correlation, and resolution.
  • Collaborate with the Performance & Analytics team to analyze trends and identify proactive remediation opportunities.
