About The Position

CompTech Computer Technologies is seeking an experienced Network Administrator – Level II to support the deployment, administration, maintenance, and security of enterprise network environments. This position is responsible for the day-to-day sustainment, integrity, security, performance, and availability of network infrastructure, including LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments. The successful candidate will possess hands-on network administration experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to maintain secure and reliable network operations within an enterprise environment.

Requirements

Four (4) years of progressive experience demonstrating intermediate proficiency in network administration or a related discipline.
Hands-on experience deploying, administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments.
Experience configuring and maintaining network hardware, software, and associated infrastructure.
Experience with network performance monitoring and capacity analysis.
Experience maintaining network security and implementing applicable security controls.
Experience performing network infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, and configuration changes.
Experience troubleshooting network connectivity, configuration, availability, and performance issues.
Experience developing or maintaining technical documentation, SOPs, maintenance guides, and/or knowledge base articles.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree and/or applicable equivalency of four (4) years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Candidate must possess an appropriate commercial baseline certification aligned with the intermediate proficiency level. Examples include: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

Responsibilities

Deploy, configure, administer, and sustain new and existing information networks, including LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments.
Perform day-to-day network administration to maintain network availability, integrity, performance, and security.
Install, configure, maintain, and update network hardware, software, and associated components.
Monitor network performance and availability and identify and resolve connectivity, configuration, and performance issues.
Perform daily network performance monitoring and capacity analysis.
Maintain the network security posture and implement required security controls.
Perform network infrastructure maintenance and upgrades to ensure appropriate operational and security posture.
Support the configuration and administration of network devices and associated technologies.
Manage applicable user accounts, permissions, and network access.
Support backup and recovery activities for network systems and configurations.
Troubleshoot network hardware, software, connectivity, and performance issues.
Identify network vulnerabilities, operational risks, and areas requiring remediation or improvement.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance guides, technical documentation, and knowledge base articles supporting network operations.
Coordinate with technical teams and other stakeholders to resolve network-related issues and maintain reliable network services.
Follow established cybersecurity, configuration management, and operational procedures.
Perform other network administration and operational support activities as required.
