The Network Administrator II will provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT networks. This position will support IT networks, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all network architecture and devices. The role involves providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution, as well as supporting escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. The administrator will also support the dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in the resolution process. Responsibilities include isolating and resolving hardware and software problems, troubleshooting and maintaining network components, and implementing operating system enhancements. The role also involves integrating new technologies, supporting hardware infrastructure site surveys, planning, and design, and providing transition planning and support services for migrating existing services between environments, including to Cloud environments, migrating users, and transitioning services into operations. Additionally, the administrator will provide guidance to lower-level technicians and specialists, work individually and on integrated teams, apply advanced concepts to daily activities, and assist more senior technicians and managers. The position requires O&S of LAN/WAN services on an expanded 24x7 service support level on-site and expanded 12x5 service support level during core hours, with on-call support and a two-hour response time during non-core hours. It also includes manhole maintenance and repairs services of outside plant cabling on a standard 8x5 service support level for communications.
