About The Position

Schwab Technology Services (STS) enables the future of how clients manage their money through innovative, secure, and reliable technology solutions. Within Retail Web Technology, you will help build and enhance Schwab’s industry-leading digital experiences used by millions of retail investors. As a Software Developer II, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and delivery of modern web applications that improve client outcomes and drive measurable business value. This role offers the opportunity to solve complex technical challenges, build scalable and secure applications, and collaborate closely with engineers, product teams, and business partners across the organization. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ years of full-stack web application development experience with an emphasis on front-end development
  • Experience developing web applications using .NET and C# technologies
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience developing or consuming RESTful APIs
  • Experience with Angular, TypeScript, or similar modern client-side frameworks
  • Experience building responsive web applications and Single Page Applications (SPA)
  • Knowledge of software design principles and application development best practices
  • Experience executing testing practices, including unit testing and TDD/BDD methodologies
  • Understanding of Agile software development principles and participation in Scrum-based delivery teams
  • Experience implementing security controls and secure software development practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teams, time zones, and functions

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies
  • Experience supporting data pipelines, data stores, analytics, or machine learning initiatives
  • Experience managing requirements through roadmaps, epics, backlogs, and Agile planning activities
