About The Position

This role is responsible for completing project assignments and participating in the full development life cycle, including requirements analysis and design. The developer will work with technical and functional staff on detailed business requirements, understanding business processes, technology, agency standards, and federal and state policies to align with project goals. The position involves writing technical specifications, using object-oriented techniques and best practices for design, development, unit testing, and deployment. The developer will use the Microsoft .NET Framework, a supported MVC framework, and C# programming language for application development. Collaboration with the Project Manager is essential to maintain the project plan and meet milestones. The developer will also work with the PM, technical staff, and end-users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs. The role requires the ability to work independently with less guidance and with external partners, considering agency web applications architecture and business decisions. Performing requirements analysis, documenting, and communicating results to the EDI team and program team is also a key responsibility, as is ensuring accurate file exchanges with external trading partners and resolving EDI data transmission conflicts. Helpdesk level support for EDI claim transactions will be provided.

Requirements

Current working experience with ASP.NET
Current working experience with C#
Current working experience with MVC
Work experience in analysis and addressing security related issues for applications built in multiple languages
Working experience with Oracle SQL
Current working experience with Web Services
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to solve complex programming issues
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields with IT experience

Responsibilities

Writing technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
Using object-oriented techniques and best practices for design, development, unit testing, and deployment.
Development of code along with unit testing strategy & plans.
Using Microsoft .NET Framework and a supported MVC framework, C# programming language to development of the applications.
Working with Project Manager to ensure project plan is maintained and project milestones are being met.
Working with PM, technical staff, and end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs of the application.
Having ability to work independently with less guidance and work with ISDH externals partners as needed.
Taking agency web applications architecture and business decisions into consideration for design.
Having ability to work independently and under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment.
Performing requirements analysis, documenting, and communicating the results to EDI team and program team.
Ensuring accurate and appropriate file exchanges with external trading partners and resolving EDI data transmission conflicts.
Providing helpdesk level support for EDI claim transactions.
