This role is responsible for completing project assignments and participating in the full development life cycle, including requirements analysis and design. The developer will work with technical and functional staff on detailed business requirements, understanding business processes, technology, agency standards, and federal and state policies to align with project goals. The position involves writing technical specifications, using object-oriented techniques and best practices for design, development, unit testing, and deployment. The developer will use the Microsoft .NET Framework, a supported MVC framework, and C# programming language for application development. Collaboration with the Project Manager is essential to maintain the project plan and meet milestones. The developer will also work with the PM, technical staff, and end-users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs. The role requires the ability to work independently with less guidance and with external partners, considering agency web applications architecture and business decisions. Performing requirements analysis, documenting, and communicating results to the EDI team and program team is also a key responsibility, as is ensuring accurate file exchanges with external trading partners and resolving EDI data transmission conflicts. Helpdesk level support for EDI claim transactions will be provided.
