About The Position

We are seeking a highly technical and hands-on .NET Architect to lead the design, modernization, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications for a large-scale financial services environment. This role requires deep expertise in modern .NET ecosystem, cloud-native architecture on Azure, and frontend engineering using React. The ideal candidate is an architect who still codes, reviews complex implementations, drives engineering standards, and partners closely with business, product, security, and DevOps teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performance platforms. This is a critical engineering leadership role focused on building resilient distributed systems, modern APIs, event-driven architectures, cloud-native applications, and high-volume transactional platforms within a regulated financial environment.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on expertise in: C# .NET Core / .NET 6+ / .NET 8, ASP.NET Core Web API development, Entity Framework Core, LINQ, Multithreading & asynchronous programming, Dependency Injection, Design Patterns & SOLID Principles
  • Deep experience with: Microservices Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, API Gateway patterns, Distributed systems, High availability & resiliency patterns, Caching strategies, Scalable system design
  • Strong expertise in Azure services including: Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Hub, Azure API Management (APIM), Azure Storage, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor / App Insights, Azure DevOps, Azure Active Directory (AAD), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep preferred)
  • Strong React.js development experience, TypeScript, Redux/Context API, Component-driven architecture, REST API integration, Responsive UI development, Frontend performance optimization
  • CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps Pipelines, Docker & Kubernetes, SonarQube, Automated testing frameworks, Release management & deployment strategies
  • SQL Server, Cosmos DB or NoSQL exposure, Kafka or Azure Service Bus messaging systems
  • Prior experience in Banking, Capital Markets, Wealth Management, Trading Platforms, Payments, or Financial Services is strongly preferred.
  • Experience building secure and compliant applications in regulated environments.
  • Understanding of authentication, authorization, audit logging, encryption, and financial data security standards.
  • 12+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years in Architecture or Principal Engineer capacity
  • Strong hands-on coding background (not a pure governance architect)
  • Proven experience leading enterprise modernization initiatives
  • Experience managing technical roadmaps and architecture governance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • Azure Certifications preferred
  • Experience with GenAI/AI-assisted engineering tools is a plus
  • Experience with real-time streaming/data platforms is a plus
  • Exposure to FinTech modernization programs highly preferred
  • Strong technical depth with architect-level ownership

Responsibilities

  • Architect and design enterprise-scale distributed applications using .NET Core/.NET 8, Azure Cloud, and React.
  • Lead modernization initiatives from monolithic applications to microservices and cloud-native architectures.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership across backend, frontend, integration, DevOps, and cloud engineering.
  • Design secure, scalable, and resilient RESTful APIs and event-driven systems.
  • Build high-performance applications handling large-scale financial transactions and real-time processing.
  • Define architecture standards, coding guidelines, reusable frameworks, and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Security, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams.
  • Drive CI/CD automation, observability, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Perform architecture reviews, code reviews, technical mentoring, and production support leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, audit, governance, and financial regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate and implement modern engineering tools, frameworks, and architectural patterns.
