As Southeast Orthopedic Specialists continues to grow, we’re excited to add a Full-Time EMG/Nerve Conduction Technician to our team! Be a vital part of our diagnostic team—helping physicians uncover critical insights that guide patient treatment and recovery. As an EMG/Nerve Conduction Technician, you’ll perform electrodiagnostic testing under physician supervision, ensuring accuracy, comfort, and quality care throughout each procedure.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED required; completion of a Neurodiagnostic Technology program preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience performing EMG and nerve conduction studies in a healthcare or clinical setting.
Solid knowledge of EMG procedures, patient care, HIPAA, and medical record processes.
Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional, compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients and medical staff.
Ability to perform independently with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to travel between clinic locations as needed.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a Neurodiagnostic Technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform nerve conduction and EMG studies as directed by the supervising physician.
Recognize and troubleshoot physiological and technical artifacts to ensure accurate results.
Prepare, maintain, and restock instruments, equipment, and exam room supplies.
Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
Calculate, record, and report nerve conduction values precisely.
Act as a liaison between patients and providers, addressing questions and concerns with empathy.
Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
Ensure equipment quality and readiness, following all safety and operational standards.
Retrieve and organize test results for physician review and follow-up.
