Requirements

Three or more years of relevant experience in NERC reliability compliance, electric utility or generation compliance, power-system operations, regulatory affairs, or a closely related field; experience supporting multiple generating facilities or projects is strongly preferred.
A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, energy, regulatory affairs, or a related field is preferred; equivalent utility, generation, military, or compliance experience will be considered.
Working knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards and the roles and responsibilities of registered Generator Owners and Generator Operators; familiarity with NERC registration structures and Regional Entity processes is preferred.
Experience maintaining compliance evidence, calendars, procedures, self-certifications, audit materials, regulatory submissions, or similar controlled compliance records.
Ability to interpret technical and regulatory requirements and translate them into clear actions for engineering, commissioning, operations, and management teams.
Strong project-management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple deadlines, projects, counterparties, and evidence requests simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain NERC requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders and prepare clear, defensible compliance documentation.
Familiarity with one or more U.S. ISO/RTO or Regional Entity environments is preferred; experience with Texas RE/ERCOT, WECC, MISO, or other regions relevant to ERock projects is a plus.
Ability to travel periodically to ERock facilities, project sites, customer meetings, audits, or industry events and to support time-sensitive compliance matters when required.

Responsibilities

Serve as ERock's day-to-day internal coordinator and subject-matter resource for NERC compliance matters across development, commissioning, and operating projects.
Work directly with ERock's external NERC compliance advisor to interpret applicable NERC Reliability Standards, Regional Entity requirements, ISO/RTO requirements, and project-specific compliance obligations.
Develop and maintain compliance calendars, obligation registers, evidence matrices, action trackers, and other program controls needed to ensure requirements are understood, assigned, and completed on time.
Coordinate preparation of NERC registration materials, regulatory correspondence, self-certifications, data requests, filings, and ISO/RTO or Regional Entity portal submissions when assigned to ERock.
Support contract and commercial reviews by identifying potential GO, GOP, JRO, CFR, or other reliability-compliance responsibilities before ERock accepts scope.
Partner with Power Generation, O&M, NOC, Engineering, System Integration, Project Management, Legal, Commercial, and customer teams to translate compliance requirements into executable responsibilities and deliverables.
Coordinate collection, organization, quality review, and retention of compliance evidence, including operating records, test results, procedures, drawings, models, training records, event documentation, and other required artifacts.
Support NERC and Regional Entity audits, spot checks, data requests, self-certifications, compliance investigations, and remediation activities under the direction of ERock leadership and external advisors as appropriate.
Assist with event analysis, potential noncompliance evaluation, mitigation planning, and preparation of self-reports or other notifications when required.
Track changes to NERC Reliability Standards, Regional Entity guidance, ISO/RTO requirements, and related rules; communicate impacts and coordinate implementation with affected ERock teams.
Develop practical procedures, checklists, templates, training materials, and internal guidance that make compliance requirements usable by project and operating personnel.
Support NERC-related commissioning and testing activities by coordinating approved test plans, required technical inputs, evidence collection, and submission-ready documentation.
Build working knowledge across ERock so routine NERC questions and project coordination no longer depend on executive-level operational ownership.
Track external-advisor usage, project demand, and internal workload to help ERock determine when additional internal capability or a different long-term compliance model is warranted.
