Intermountain Health is seeking a collaborative and mission‑driven enterprise‑wide Medical Director to join our nephrology team based at the Budge Clinic in Logan, Utah. This unique role blends clinical practice with strategic leadership, offering the opportunity to shape the future of kidney services across the enterprise while continuing meaningful patient care. In this position, you’ll balance 0.6 FTE of clinical practice with 0.4 FTE of administrative leadership, supporting the growth, quality, and success of nephrology services system‑wide

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
  • Residency training Internal Medicine
  • 4 + years of experience as a Nephrologist, required
  • Board certification or eligibility in Nephrology
  • Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
  • Full prescriptive authority and an active DEA in each state, or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
  • Candidates requiring Visa sponsorship will be reviewed on an individual basis

Responsibilities

  • Clinical responsibilities include outpatient clinic care, dialysis oversight, and inpatient rounding, with additional clinical support provided to McKay‑Dee Hospital and Layton Hospital.
  • Call responsibilities will generally be one out of every four to five weeks.
  • Collaborate closely with Intermountain nephrologists, advanced practice providers, and nurse navigators to deliver comprehensive general nephrology care across outpatient, hospital, dialysis, and telehealth settings.
  • Support the growth, quality, and success of nephrology services system‑wide.
