About The Position
We are seeking a Neonatology Nurse Practitioner to provide 24-hour in-house and on-call coverage for a Level III NICU. This locum tenens position involves managing neonates with a variety of complex conditions, including respiratory distress, pulmonary hypertension, and sepsis. The role requires performing essential procedures such as intubation, line placement, and spinal taps, as well as stabilizing and coordinating transport for surgical cases. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including RNs, RTs, and consulting specialists, is crucial.
Requirements
- Licensed in MI
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- Proficient in intubation
- Proficient in chest tube placement
- Proficient in central line placement
- Proficient in paracentesis
- Proficient in spinal taps
- Proficient in exchange transfusion
- Proficient in thermal cooling
- Proficient in ventilator management (oscillators and iNO)
Nice To Haves
- BC preferred
- BE preferred
- Level III NICU experience preferred
