About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join Pediatrix Medical Group at United Regional Healthcare System in Wichita Falls, TX. United Regional Hospital is a prominent healthcare institution serving Wichita Falls and surrounding communities, recognized for its commitment to healthcare excellence. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of medical services. As a Level II Special Care Nursery designated facility, United Regional provides care for infants with a 30-week or longer gestational age and a birth weight of greater than 1,250 grams who have physiologic immaturity or problems expected to resolve rapidly. In the Special Care Nursery, a collaborative team of pediatricians, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation services, and neonatal nutritionists care for infants, allowing them to remain in their community without separation from their families while receiving specialized care. The Neonatologist will cover the level II NICU and newborn nursery. The hospital, in partnership with Pediatrix, is working towards level III NICU designation. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for premature and critically ill newborns in the level II NICU, enjoying a supportive work environment and access to advanced technology in a state-of-the-art NICU facility. The position also includes providing family-centered care, supporting parents during their newborn's NICU stay, fostering strong communication, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects aimed at advancing neonatal care.
