About The Position

ProMedica Physicians Group (PPG) is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in Toledo, Ohio. This position involves 100% inpatient care for neonatal patients (birth to six months of age) in a 72-bed Level III NICU. The role includes coverage at Ebeid Children's NICU unit, some high-risk delivery coverage at Bay Park, and occasional NICU transport coverage to outlying hospitals. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who has completed advanced education and clinical training beyond their initial registered nurse (RN) preparation. They play a vital role across ProMedica by providing a wide range of healthcare services, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, managing chronic conditions, long term disease management, and promoting health and wellness. NPs can work in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, urgent care, long term care facilities, and private practices, and may specialize in areas like family medicine, pediatrics, or geriatrics.

Requirements

• Master of Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing (DNP) degree for Nurse Practitioner applicants.
• State licensure(s) required in the state(s) where the Nurse Practitioner will work.
• Certificate of Authority to practice.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification.
• Certification(s) applicable to your role.

Responsibilities

• Provide 100% inpatient care for neonatal patients (birth to six months of age).
• Work within a 72-bed Level III NICU.
• Manage patient volume of 8-16 babies per team.
• Cover Ebeid Children's NICU unit.
• Provide high-risk delivery coverage at Bay Park.
• Perform occasional NICU transport coverage to outlying hospitals.
• Work shifts of 7:00a-8:30p (day) and 8:00p-9:30a (nights), with rotating shift hours.
• Diagnose and treat illnesses.
• Manage chronic conditions and long-term disease management.
• Promote health and wellness.
