This Neonatal Nurse Practitioner role involves utilizing advanced knowledge and skills to provide nursing and selected medical procedures for neonates and infants. The practitioner will communicate and collaborate with appropriate members of the health care team, including patient families, and work to improve the quality of care provided to neonates. Responsibilities also include advancing the care of neonates through participation in and application of the research process, sharing knowledge with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring continuous quality of professional services by maintaining updated knowledge and skills. The role requires maintaining current and valid licensure with the State Board of Nursing and ensuring age/developmentally appropriate patient care in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines.
