About The Position
Mercyhealth has an exciting Neonatal Nurse Practitioner opportunity to join our excellent NICU team in Rockford, Illinois. This position allows you to provide advanced, evidence-based care for critically ill and premature newborns in a high-acuity environment while working alongside experienced neonatologists, pediatric subspecialists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other multidisciplinary team members.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Neonatal NP program
- National certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC)
- Hold an active state APRN license
- Hold an active state DEA license, or eligible
- Hold an active BLS and NRP certifications, or eligible
Nice To Haves
- Preferred experience as a bedside registered nurse in a level III NICU
- Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced, evidence-based care for critically ill and premature newborns in a high-acuity environment.
- Work alongside experienced neonatologists, pediatric subspecialists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other multidisciplinary team members.
