About The Position

Requirements

  • Neonatal Practitioner Board Certification
  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • <2 years of experience
  • Licensed APRN in Missouri
  • National APRN Board Certifcatn

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate in Nursing
  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care (CPNP-PC) – will require CPNP-AC within 2 years of hire
  • Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Acute Care (CPNP-AC)
  • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
  • NICU Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification (NNP)

Responsibilities

  • Provide palliative care and hospice services within inpatient setting
  • Provides compassionate, appropriate, and effective patient and family-centered care for health recovery, illness prevention, treatment of critically ill, or end-of-life care.
  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with patients, families, physicians, medical/surgical trainees, and other health professionals.
  • Demonstrates the highest level of accountability for professional practice by participating in professional development, quality initiative/performance activities, and implementing standards of care within area of specialization.
  • Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion, and care coordination for critically ill patients and families with acute health needs.
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
