The Neonatal Data Manager at Children's Minnesota will play a critical role in the Department of Neonatology by leading initiatives focused on data collection, submission and quality improvement. The Neonatal Data Manager will oversee the collection and submission of timely, accurate data to the CHND (Children's Hospitals Neonatal Database), Vermont Oxford Network (VON), any databases that are part of quality improvement and internal databases. The manager will manage the team of Clinical Data Coordinators and be responsible for all data reporting. The manager will partner with the Neonatal Director of Quality in providing data reports that facilitate in the neonatal teams understanding of neonatal data.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with Bachelor's Degree
  • Active nursing license in State of Minnesota
  • Minimum 5 years in clinical health care role required
  • Experience in a Level III/IV NICU required
  • Knowledge of patient privacy and healthcare industry issues, e.g. HIPAA
  • Knowledge of neonatal patient care practices
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication
  • Working knowledge of PCs and word processing and data management software
  • Goal-oriented; self-directive
  • Initiation, motivation, creativity
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to actively participate as a team player
  • Able to model Children's Values in Action

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities
