About The Position

SST Mobility provides safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation for clients attending medical appointments, rehabilitation services, dialysis appointments, and community programs. The NEMT Driver transports clients to appointments and community outings, assists passengers with wheelchairs and mobility support, follows scheduled routes, communicates with dispatch, maintains a clean and professional vehicle, and provides compassionate customer service. Drivers are scheduled Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, with up to 40 hours per week and guaranteed 35 hours per week. Additional hours may be available. Occasional weekend shifts may be available and are paid at premium rates. There is no overnight or long-haul driving, and routes are planned ahead. SST Mobility provides company vehicles, paid training, and free NEMT certification. Employment is contingent on successfully completing required pre-employment screenings, including drug testing.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Experience with scheduling passenger pickup and drop-offs.
Ability to lift, move, push, and/or pull equipment, including lifting in excess of 40 to 70 pounds.
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check per state and company standards.
Willingness to complete required training and certification.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize safety while on the road.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Compassionate and caring personality.

Nice To Haves

One year of prior experience in transportation services is preferred.
Healthcare experience such as CNA, EMT, or caregiving is valued.
Drivers who live within 30 minutes of Nashville are ideal.
