About The Position

We are seeking a courteous and friendly wheelchair Transport Driver who can deliver excellent customer service consistently. Drivers must assist clients getting in and out of the vehicle and assist clients with a "through the door" service. Applicants must have a flexible work schedule, to accommodate the business need.

Requirements

• Valid state driver's license or commercial driver's license required.
• Must have a valid specific state driver's license of posted job location for at least five (5) years with no more than one (1) moving violation or one (1) at fault accident in the last three (3) years.
• Familiar with using cellular phones and navigating around areas using a GPS.
• Acceptable background screens, which include but is not limited to criminal check and drug and alcohol screening.
• Valid Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Lift up to 50 LBS, push up to 150 LBS.
• Bend from the waist.
• Pivot from waist.
• Be able to move from a standing position to kneeling position back to standing.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Valid CPR/First Aid card is preferred but not required.
• Familiar with the driving region and the surrounding areas.
• Experience driving corporate clients and paratransit vehicles are a plus.
• Bilingual in another language in addition to English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-inspection checks on all vehicles.
• Ensure all items or any other devices are stored away properly.
• Drive clients to and from destinations in a safe manner.
• Assist clients getting in and out of the vehicle.
• Assist clients with a "through the door" service.
