About The Position

Kendal at Hanover is a nonprofit Continuing Care Retirement Community seeking a full-time Neighborhood Assistant Coordinator. This role provides residents in the assisted living facility with quality service by supporting and guiding the neighborhood assistant team in daily tasks. The coordinator will also serve as a supervisor for Assisted Living areas in the absence of the Director of Resident Wellness and assist with various administrative and resident support functions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education
Regular standing, walking, bending, and use of hands to assist residents and handle equipment
Ability to lift between 30 and 50 pounds on a regular basis

Nice To Haves

Related healthcare/geriatric experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Providing support to staff with scheduling, task assignments, and ensuring adequate coverage
Serving as the supervisor for Assisted Living areas in the absence of the Director of Resident Wellness
Serving as a backup for payroll processing and approving/denying time off requests
Taking part in interview, hiring, and training of new staff in collaboration with the Director of Resident Wellness
Assisting in facilitating staff meetings, daily huddles, and team communications
Supporting nursing staff with resident dining experience, including transporting meals, setting up meals, and assisting residents with eating
Supporting residents with grooming needs, including brushing/styling hair, oral care, use or razor, and makeup
Answering call bell alerts for residents and providing comfort/support for individual needs
