About The Position

The Neighbor Service Technician III is responsible for all general apartment maintenance in order to maintain and preserve the Neighborhood and to provide a quality living environment for our Neighbors. This role involves customer service, daily operations including apartment turnovers and troubleshooting/repairs of mechanical systems, and leadership by mentoring others and managing costs. Prometheus is a Certified B Corporation focused on long-term real estate investment and providing a quality living environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Minimum three certificates from related institutions reflecting completion of maintenance related courses (e.g., BOMA, IREM, vocational programs).
Minimum of three to four years experience and/or training in apartment maintenance.
Mastered the basics of plumbing, painting, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
Knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
Minimum of one year supervisory experience.
Ability to speak, communicate, read, write and understand the primary languages used in the workplace (including English) to maintain safety and serve customers.
Basic computer proficiency.
Understanding of building materials and tools.
Ability to use Yardi and manage work orders through technical systems.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all general apartment maintenance to maintain and preserve the Neighborhood and provide a quality living environment for Neighbors.
Ensure Neighbors feel at HOME, well-cared for, and proud to live in the Neighborhoods.
Responsible for the timely completion of all phases of apartment turnovers.
Troubleshoot and repair most major and all minor mechanical systems.
Help with scheduling outside vendors.
Track budgets and financials for maintenance related activities.
Perform administrative support duties for all maintenance related activities.
Mentor others, provide guidance and leadership to the team.
Help the Neighborhood achieve their financial goals through managing costs and being resourceful.
Lead by example, setting the standard for the team.
