About The Position

An NDT trainee supports the inspection of aircraft parts by learning and assisting with non-destructive testing methods. Their role is to observe, practice, and perform basic tasks under supervision while gaining the skills needed to identify defects without damaging the component. By helping prepare materials, set up equipment, and document results, they contribute to ensuring the structural integrity, safety, and quality of aerospace parts as they progress toward full NDT certification.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Required to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all employee, supplier, customer, and business-related information and documentation.
  • Successful completion of background check and drug test screening.

Responsibilities

  • Documented as a trainee and will be actively participating in a training program for a stated NDT method for a limited and specific period of time.
  • Obtain experience under the direct observation of a level 1, 2, or 3 NDT instructor only when approved by the Responsible Level 3.
  • Will not make decisions (accept or reject), conduct tests, or perform any other NDT functions without supervision of instructor.
