NDT Technician

About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Level 2 NDT X-Ray Technician to join our aerospace manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) using film and/or digital radiography systems to ensure the structural integrity of aerospace components. You will identify sub-surface defects and ensure compliance with strict aerospace quality and radiation safety standards.

Requirements

Minimum 2–4 years of experience performing X-ray inspections in aerospace or similar industries
High School Diploma or GED required
NDT Level 2 Radiographic Testing (RT) certification in accordance with NAS-410 or ASNT SNT-TC-1A
Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and effective collaboration skills
Proficiency in radiographic inspection, blueprint reading, GD&T, and manufacturing codes
Working knowledge of MS Office products
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
Aerospace or manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

Perform radiographic inspections by setting up, calibrating, and operating X-ray equipment on aerospace components
Interpret radiographic film and digital images to identify defects based on engineering drawings and specifications
Develop and follow radiographic techniques to optimize inspection results for various part geometries
Document inspection results and ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA, and NADCAP quality standards
Follow all radiation safety protocols and complete required safety training
Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibration checks, and preventative upkeep
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams and provide guidance to Level 1 technicians
