This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. Blue Origin Operations brings together Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance, supporting Manufacturing and Supply Chain functions across all of our facilities. This position sits within that organization. Working alongside a dedicated group of Nondestructive Testing specialists, technicians, and engineers, you'll carry out both development and production work using a range of Nondestructive Testing (NDT) methods. The team plays a key part in verifying part integrity, quality, and durability, and you'll contribute directly to that effort. Day to day, your focus will center on Penetrant inspection of metallic hardware and test articles. Success in this role calls for a strong commitment to safe, consistent results and close attention to detail. Requirements

• At least 2 years of Level II experience with the Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection method.
• Ability to pass the Penetrant General Test and Specific Test by week 3 (study materials for the General Test can be provided if needed).
• Satisfies the minimum NAS-410 training requirements for Penetrant Testing.
• Eligible to qualify and certify to Level II status per NAS-410 for Liquid Penetrant, backed by at least 400 hours of documented experience.
• Working knowledge of the requirements in ASTM E1417, Standard Practice for Liquid Penetrant Testing.
• Prior experience with visual weld inspection.
• Meets these minimum vision requirements: Near Vision: 20/25 (Snellen) at 16", or Jaeger No. 1 at no less than 12".
• Color Perception: Correctly identifies at least 12 of 14 panels on the Ishihara Color Test.
• Capable of selecting the right parameters based on established techniques and system calibrations for a given inspection.
• Comfortable reading and interpreting blueprints and schematic diagrams.
• Proficient with MS Office products.
• Able to lift and move parts and inspection equipment within OSHA guidelines.
• Experience working in both laboratory and field inspection settings.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with industry NDT standards.
• Meets the minimum NAS-410 training requirements in additional methods such as Ultrasonics, Eddy Current, Radiographic Testing, and Magnetic Particle.
• Able to certify per NAS-410 in one or more additional methods, including Ultrasonics, Eddy Current, Radiographic Testing, Magnetic Particle, Infrared, or emerging methods like Terahertz and/or Laser Shearography.
• Completion of Radiation Safety Training.
• Carded as an X-ray radiographer by a state or certifying body (such as ASNT or IRRSP).
• Background in a production environment, ideally within aerospace.
• Hands-on experience with automated or robotic inspection equipment.
• 1 or more years of aerospace experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Fluorescent Penetrant Test (PT) inspections on critical hardware.
• Develop and uphold examination techniques that keep hardware in full compliance with safety and specification requirements.
• Evaluate inspection findings and apply the acceptance criteria called out on the applicable drawing or shop work order.
• Complete all required daily, weekly, and monthly process control checks.
• Record and organize inspection data.
• Coordinate with Engineers and Managers to explain and report inspection outcomes.
• Support overtime, weekend, and off-shift work as needed to hit critical deadlines.
