About The Position

The NDT 2 Technician is responsible for performing Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT), in an ISO 9001 environment. They must be familiar with OSHA requirements for safety and hot work onboard naval vessels. Duties include, but are not limited to: Qualified to properly perform specific NDT processes (VT, MT & PT) and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and to record results. Perform work scope review, procedural reviews, and documentation required and preparations of equipment and/or supplies needed. Requirements

• Must be 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess basic skills (reading, writing, and mathematical skills).
• Must have a valid California driver's license.
• Eligibility to work in the US.
• Passing a drug test and physical examination.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check.
• Obtaining DBIDS-level security clearance.
• OSHA 10 Maritime certification.

Nice To Haves

• 5 years of experience in a ship repair NDT environment.
• LVL II Ultrasonic Testing (UT), qualified.
• Able to read, comprehend, and prepare technical documentation, specifications, and procedures.
• MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) computer skills.
• Understand the Naval Ship Repair requirements and working environment.
