Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED certificate or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum of (5) years related experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • NDT Level 2 Inspector in Fluorescent Penetrant with 32 formal hours of training and a minimum of 400 hours experience time.
  • Must be familiar with industry and customer specifications and qualified to be certified as a Level 2 at this facility.
  • Opportunity to become a Level 3 with additional customer required certifications for Honeywell and Rolls-Royce.
  • Familiar with visual weld inspection with the ability to become certified under GE S-558.
  • Have the skills and knowledge to set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection and document results.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method.
  • Have the skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
  • Be capable of providing the necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees and Level 1 personnel.
  • Be familiar with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the penetrant method.
  • Have a basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology.
  • Recall gages for periodic checks to verify continued precision and accuracy.
  • Conduct continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform product, process, and system audits with an emphasis on Nadcap requirements.
  • Perform daily maintenance and minor machine repair.
  • Work in conjunction with customer surveys and teams, as well as with vendors, sub-contractors and suppliers in audits and selling situations, projecting a positive company image.
  • Assist Quality Manager during compliance audits.
  • Perform all other functions as may be assigned
