About The Position

This role is for an NDT Level 2-FPI X-Ray Technician who will be responsible for setting up and standardizing equipment, processing parts, interpreting and evaluating for acceptance or rejection, and documenting results as a NADCAP Level II Technician. The technician must be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method, capable of conducting system performance checks, and providing guidance to trainees and level-1 personnel. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and product manufacturing/inspection technology is required. The position also requires providing off-shift coverage for FPI & X-ray production operations (2nd or 3rd shift). This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations, working with chemicals, and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining. Employment is contingent upon the ability to prove U.S. Person status and the successful completion of a drug screen.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of basic math
  • Knowledgeable with computers and Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to pass a vision test (Snellen 20/25)
  • Able to work alone and stay on task
  • At least 18 years of age by the time of joining
  • Ability to prove U.S. Person status (U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, granted asylee or refugee status)
  • Successful completion of a drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • NAS-410 Level - 2 certification (within last 3 years) in FPI and/or X-ray
  • Working knowledge of the product technologies used by JTI
  • Ability to work with others in multiple settings (i.e. one-on-one, teams, customers, and auditors)

  • Provide off shift coverage for FPI & X-ray production operations (2nd or 3rd shift)
