About The Position

You will be the NDT Inspector Sr Spec for the F-16 Program supporting our Greenville Site. Our team is responsible for conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections on aerospace components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with industry standards, specifications, and customer requirements. As a NDT Inspector Sr Spec you will be responsible for performing various non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques, including but not limited to eddy current testing (ET), liquid penetrant testing (PT), magnetic particle testing (MT), radiographic testing (RT), and ultrasonic testing (UT), to detect and evaluate defects or discontinuities in aerospace components and assemblies. You will conduct inspections and examinations in accordance with established procedures, industry standards, and customer specifications to ensure compliance and quality. You will interpret and evaluate NDT test results, documenting findings accurately and communicating them to relevant stakeholders. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and quality professionals, to address any NDT-related issues and provide technical expertise. You will maintain and calibrate NDT equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of testing results. You will adhere to all safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment and minimizing risks associated with NDT operations. You will stay updated with industry advancements, technological developments, and regulatory changes related to NDT methods and equipment. You will participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge. Candidate must be willing to work a First shift position on a 4x10A work schedule.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Non-Destructive Testing Inspector, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Proficiency in conducting NDT techniques, such as ET, PT, MT, RT, and UT, and thorough understanding of relevant inspection standards and specifications (e.g., NAS-410, ASTM E1444, ASNT SNT-TC-1A).
  • Certification in relevant NDT methods, such as ASNT Level II or III certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearances.
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional technical certifications or degrees in NDT or related fields are preferred.
  • Proficiency in using NDT equipment and software applications, with a working knowledge of relevant computer systems.
  • Demonstrated familiarity and proficiency with LM Aero Q&MS/SQM systems and processes.
  • Experience in the following areas: Production Quality, Flight Line Support, aircraft sustainment operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and evaluate test results accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work within defined procedures and guidelines.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
