NDT Inspection - AWW 1st Shift (onsite)
About The Position
Pratt & Whitney is seeking an NDT Inspector for the 1st Shift, working Friday through Sunday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. This onsite role involves performing non-destructive testing methods, primarily Fluorescent Penetration Inspection (FPI), on aerospace case parts to identify defects. The inspector will clean and process parts, inspect internal case structures, prepare inspection documents, and collaborate with various departments. The role requires reviewing work instructions, repair operations, and blueprints, and using inspection tools. The inspector will also assist a Level III Quality Engineer in developing test techniques and must comply with DOT and FAA drug and alcohol policies.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- One year of relevant experience
- U.S. Person status (lawful permanent resident or protected individual)
- Experience in various Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods (1 year of related experience/education)
- Basic knowledge of MS Office programs

- SAP experience
- Non-Destructive testing (NDT) Level 2 certification
- Experience in aviation component repair
Responsibilities
- Perform Fluorescent Penetration Inspection (FPI), Blue Etch, Chem Etch, Sonic Wall, and other non-destructive testing methods on engine cases.
- Determine and verify conformance to work instructions and repair scope by marking areas not meeting criteria.
- Clean and process parts using FPI Booth.
- Inspect internal case structure using inspection equipment.
- Prepare and complete required inspection documents (manual and electronic), reports, and stamping of work instructions.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, quality lab, operations, and materials personnel regarding the inspection process.
- Review work instructions, repair operations requirements, and blueprints.
- Use inspection tools, including FPI Booth and equipment, and inspection fixtures.
- Assist Level III Quality Engineer in developing specific test techniques.
- Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Programs Policy.
