About The Position
Acuren is seeking NDT Assistants to support on-site operations in Corpus Christi, Texas. The role assists with calibrations, nondestructive testing, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection in accordance with written instructions, and records inspection results. Candidates based in or near Corpus Christi or South Texas are preferred because of the on-site requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have experience, credentials, and history sufficient to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable under applicable federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check.
- Motor vehicle driving record must meet company standards for driving company vehicles.
Nice To Haves
- Some college.
- Technical background.
- 40-hour Radiation Safety Training (40RAD).
- Industrial Radiographer State Card.
- IRRSP card.
- Based in or near Corpus Christi or South Texas; preference is given to local candidates due to on-site requirements.
Responsibilities
- Set up and use nondestructive testing equipment.
- Assist Radiographers with calibrating NDT equipment.
- Assist Radiographers in conducting tests to assess quality or detect discontinuities using NDT inspection methods.
- Record inspection results.
- Assist with NDT procedures, carry equipment, and support other operations.
- Perform other job-related tasks assigned by management.
