About The Position

NDT Assistants support Radiographers in performing calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations. They follow written instructions and record inspection results. The role includes setting up and using NDT equipment, assisting with tests to assess quality or detect defects, and supporting procedures through equipment handling and other operations. Other related tasks may be assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to have the experience, credentials, and history required for certification as Trustworthy & Reliable to comply with federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check.
• Motor vehicle driving record must meet company standards for driving company vehicles.

Nice To Haves

• Some college preferred.
• Technical background desired.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize nondestructive test equipment.
• Assist Radiographers in calibrating NDT equipment.
• Assist Radiographers in conducting tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT inspection methods.
• Record inspection results.
• Assist with NDT procedures, including carrying equipment and performing other operations.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
