About The Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and writing new global non-destructive testing (ND E ) procedures. They will support Flowserve sites with ND E questions and answer external customer questions requiring ND E expertise. The role ensures compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and Flowserve's quality requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum Certification of Level III in the ND E method s of radiographic testing (RT ) and ultrasonic testing (UT) . (e.g., ASNT Level III certification)
  • Minimum Certification of Level III in 2 of the 3 following NDE methods (M agnetic particle testing (MT), dye penetrant testing (PT), and visual inspection (VT) with willingness to move up to Level III in the method not already certified at Level III. (e.g., ASNT Level III certification).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ND E inspection, quality assurance, or related field, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to accurately evaluate and interpret ND E results.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and writing global ND E Procedures, acceptance criteria, and techniques.
  • Standardize High-Quality ND E operations across Flowserve’s various manufacturing locations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, regulations, and customer specifications governing ND E processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality control teams to resolve any ND E -related issues or discrepancies identified and escalated to the GES Materials team.
  • Provide training and guidance to personnel involved in ND E activities to enhance their skills, knowledge, and proficiency in ND E techniques and procedures.
  • Operate as the global ND E Certification Authority.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, advancements in ND E technology, and changes in regulatory requirements related to ND E practices.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations governing ND E operations to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and the work environment.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness, hazard identification, and risk mitigation across the organization.
  • Supporting escalated Vendor ND E Quality concerns that require a subject matter expert to review.
  • Supporting escalated Customer ND E Quality concerns that require a subject matter expert to review.
  • Operate as a support function to ND E personnel conducting inspections of incoming materials, fabricated components, and finished products to verify conformity to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Operate as a support function to ND E personnel performing various ND E techniques, such as ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), dye penetrant testing (PT), radiographic testing (RT), and visual inspection (VT), to detect and evaluate defects, flaws, or abnormalities in materials and components.
  • Operate as a support function to ND E personnel interpreting ND E results and data to determine the presence, size, location, and severity of defects, and make recommendations for further evaluation or corrective action as needed.
  • Supporting the enterprise when Vendor ND E Procedure Reviews are required by an ND E Level III.
  • Supporting quality audit team on Vendor ND E Program Reviews where subject matter expertise or documentation review is requested.
