About The Position

Mistras is seeking an NDE Assistant to support NDT Level II and Level III technicians with inspection and testing activities. This is a hands-on position providing an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the Non-Destructive Testing field. Candidates must be local to the Los Angeles, CA area. Relocation assistance is not available, and non-local candidates will not be considered.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work in industrial and field environments.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

• TWIC card – highly preferred
• Current Radiation Safety State Card – highly preferred
• NDT classroom training or previous NDT experience
• Familiarity with NDT methods such as UT, MT, PT, RT, or VT

Responsibilities

• Assist NDT technicians with inspection and testing activities.
• Prepare equipment and work areas for NDT examinations.
• Assist with equipment setup, handling, and cleanup.
• Follow established procedures and safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Support technicians with general field duties as assigned.
• Follow all company and client safety and quality requirements.
