About The Position

JW Logistics is a trusted nationwide partner in final-mile delivery, and our National Customer Operations Support (NCOS) team sits at the center of that work. We're hiring Shift Supervisors across all shifts, seven days a week, and we're looking for leaders who can run the floor — calm under pressure, sharp on decisions, and genuinely invested in their team's growth. As an NCOS Shift Supervisor, you own real-time operations and team performance during your shift. You'll lead a team of Specialists, monitor live deliveries across multiple markets, jump in on the tougher issues, and make sure service levels hold up no matter what the day throws at you. This is a hands-on leadership role — you're not behind a closed door, you're in it with your team.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years in logistics, transportation, customer operations, or a similar fast-paced environment
  • Previous team lead or supervisory experience — you've led people before, formally or informally
  • Strong decision-making — you can make a good call quickly with incomplete information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, especially under pressure
  • Comfortable across dashboards, alerts, and operational systems; solid Excel and reporting skills
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities without losing the thread
  • Experience working in fast-paced, real-time operational environments
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Kick off by reviewing open issues, the prior shift's notes, and any current risks
  • Monitor live dashboards, queues, and communication channels in real time
  • Make the calls on prioritization, escalation, and where to put your team's attention
  • Step in personally on the high-impact or complex situations
  • Coordinate with internal teams and partners to move issues forward fast
  • Track SLA performance through the shift and adjust as conditions change
  • Close out with clear documentation and a solid handoff to the next supervisor
  • Directing team activity, balancing workload, and making sure coverage holds up across every workflow
  • Watch the queues, spot risk early, and reprioritize on the fly
  • Validate what gets escalated and where it goes
  • Coach in the moment, reinforce the standards, and step in when volume spikes
  • Incidents are documented. Handoffs are clean. The next shift inherits clarity, not chaos.
