The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is an organization of approximately 2,000 personnel of which 700 serve at HQ and the remaining staff serve at offices worldwide. NCIS is the DON component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counter-terrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters. NCIS not only has primary responsibility for all criminal investigative, CI, CT, and cyber matters within the DON, but it also has exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage, and subversive activities. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a SharePoint Developer the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the NCIS ITD organization in Quantico, VA. Responsible for managing the function and activities of SharePoint Online development, including troubleshooting issues, coordinating with other SharePoint developers, and analyzing user requirements and activities, focusing on user experience and interface. Design, develop, test, and deploy custom SharePoint solutions utilizing the SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Platform, and related technologies. Integrate SharePoint Online with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI to create comprehensive business solutions. Focus on modern SharePoint experiences, leveraging SPFx for custom web parts, extensions, and applications. Develop and implement automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes. Integrate SharePoint Online solutions with other enterprise systems and data sources using APIs, web services, and other integration techniques. Responsible for program design, modeling, simulation, coding, testing, debugging and documentation related to development. Design and develop custom SharePoint solutions based on client’s business requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders, teams, leadership and customers to aid in development and implementation of various applications, framework improvements and infrastructure changes. Create and customize SharePoint site collections, sites and subsites, including web parts, lists, document libraries and content types. Create and customize dashboards and reporting. Organize data, establish file structures and ensure information is captured and stored in locations accessible to various groups. Maintains records of SharePoint updates, maintenance, tasks, and activities. Ensure data integrity and manage backups. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Bring your help desk expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. Our SharePoint Developer must have: Security Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI clearance. Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is also acceptable. Required Experience: 8 years of experience with SharePoint with 3 of those years being developing SharePoint Online solutions. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience working in an on-premises SharePoint environment and SharePoint Online. Skilled in object-oriented languages (e.g., C#, Python, .Net). Skilled in web development technologies (e.g., JavaScript, jQuery, REST APIs, Web Services, XML, HTML5, CSS, AngularJS). Proficiency in SharePoint Framework (SPFx) development, experience with out of the box and third-party tools (e.g., SharePoint Designer, workflows, Visual Studio, forms, Power platform, (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) AvePoint, Nintex. Strong understanding of SharePoint Online architecture, features, and capabilities. Experience with RESTful APIs and web services. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Understands when agile methodology or a hybrid approach is required.
