The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is an organization of approximately 2,000 personnel of which 700 serve at HQ and the remaining staff serve at offices worldwide. NCIS is the DON component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counter-terrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters. NCIS not only has primary responsibility for all criminal investigative, CI, CT, and cyber matters within the DON, but it also has exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage, and subversive activities. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a SharePoint Developer the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the NCIS ITD organization in Quantico, VA. Design new applications integrating using both the SharePoint Controls and Web Service implementations as part of the overall architecture. Ensure the SharePoint environment meets NCIS information security, records management and accessibility requirements. Deliver solutions that improve workflow efficiency, data sharing, and reporting capabilities for authorized personnel. Develop, test, and refine the applications to meet stakeholder requirements and established User Interface design. Build web-based application to fulfill client’s business needs. Isolate, diagnose, repair and resolve software problems. Analyze and help develop and improve existing applications and processes. Collaborate with teams, leadership and customers to aid in development and implementation of various applications, frameworks improvements and infrastructure changes. Provide periodic status and performance metrics to the technical and program management offices Apply industry best practices to all development efforts

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI after their start date.
  • 8 years of SharePoint development experience with a detailed understanding of all aspects of the SharePoint platform, to included and not limited to: content types, site columns, managed metadata and advanced search configuration with managed properties
  • Ability to work with and create customized list and library forms at the code level
  • Advanced understanding of CSS and master pages
  • Requires a firm understanding of technologies including .NET Framework, C#, AngularJS, Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), AJAX, ASP.NET, XML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, Microsoft SharePoint Designer, complex SharePoint Workflows, Web Services, REST, Keyword Query Language (KQL), and Internet Information Server (IIS).
  • CompTIA Security+ CE required.
  • BS Degree in technical discipline.
  • US Citizenship required

Nice To Haves

  • MS Certified SharePoint Developer, Azure Developer Associate, Power Platform Developer Associate certifications are desired.
  • Familiarity with AvePoint Fly migration tools
  • Experience with SharePoint 2019/SharePoint Server Subscription Edition/SharePoint Online (SPO)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and customize SharePoint sites and portals on-prem and SharePoint Online (SPO) platforms using Microsoft Power App/automate, SharePoint Designer and other tools
  • Create and maintain dashboards, custom web parts, metadata structures, and portal navigation to support Code-Specific process
  • Develop and maintain an accurate, consistent, repeatable process for responses to official questions by collecting, consolidating, and preparing written responses to external RFI or internal query from leadership
  • Create and maintain records in compliance with DoD Records Management policies and directives
  • Organize data, establish file structures, and ensure information is captured and stored in locations accessible to various user groups
  • Develop Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) for coordinating the flow of information and work to periodically test these TTPs during exercises.
  • Integrates information from departments and functions throughout the organization to facilitate easy access, sharing and dissemination of information with internal business partners and external customers
  • Train, present, and educate front-end users of knowledge management tools. Create user-guides, admin guides, SOP and other related documentation.
